Copyright and content rights
Respect the people who create the photos, videos, music, writing and other material you use. You must have rights or another valid legal basis for each intended upload, edit and publication. dripLine does not provide a music licence or decide in advance that your use is fair use.
Report a copyright concern
Email hello@dripline.tech with the subject Copyright report. Include:
- Your name, a working reply address, and whether you are the rights holder or an authorised representative.
- Identification of the copyrighted work, with an original source link or other clear description.
- The exact dripLine page, file reference, post or other information that lets us locate the material. Private material may require an account or ticket reference; do not send access credentials.
- A description of the rights you believe are affected and any relevant permission or licence information.
- For a formal infringement notice, your physical or electronic signature, a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law, and a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, you are authorised to act for the owner of the relevant exclusive right.
Do not submit a false report. A disagreement with an opinion or a competitor’s product is not a copyright complaint. Consider applicable exceptions, including fair use, before making a claim.
What happens next
We review sufficiently detailed reports, request missing information where needed, and respond as appropriate under applicable law. We may restrict access to identified material or accounts while investigating. We may notify the affected user and share relevant report details so they can respond. Keep a copy of your report and references. This page is a general reporting channel; it does not claim that dripLine has completed designated-agent registration or qualifies for a particular legal safe harbour.
If your material was restricted by mistake
Reply to the notice or contact hello@dripline.tech, identify the affected material and explain the mistake or permission you rely on. We review responses and any applicable formal counter-notice requirements. A formal DMCA counter-notice may require your signature, identification of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury of good-faith belief in a mistake or misidentification, and contact and jurisdiction information. Review the U.S. Copyright Office’s notice and counter-notice guidance or seek legal advice before submitting one. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information. A valid response is assessed under applicable law; restoration is not promised automatically by this page.
Repeated infringement
We may suspend or terminate access for repeated copyright infringement in appropriate circumstances, consistent with applicable law. We consider the information available, relevant responses and account history. We do not treat an unverified allegation as a final legal finding.
Audio, platform libraries and fair use
A recording and its underlying composition can have different rights holders. Permission to use music inside one social platform may not cover downloading it, editing it into an exported video or posting it elsewhere. There is no universal safe number of seconds, credit line or “royalty-free” label that establishes all necessary rights. Fair use depends on the circumstances. You supply your audio and are responsible for the permissions needed for your chosen uses.
Software notices
Open-source software licences are separate from the rights in uploaded media. See our third-party software notices. This policy does not claim ownership of third-party components or remove rights their licences grant.
